
Rob Verzaal
High Performance Coach
Rob was born to a tennis pro-turned-coach and has been around tennis courts since he began playing at age 5.
As a junior, Rob reached the top-20 in the USA before joining the Baylor University Division 1 men’s tennis team in 2010. He earned a top-50 NCAA doubles ranking, while the team reached the NCAA Quarterfinals twice during his tenure. He also earned his way into several Futures main draws before finding his calling as a coach.
Rob began his coaching career in Shreveport, Louisiana in 2015, and soon became the Director of Tennis at the club he grew up at. He helped send multiple players to Division 1 schools before pivoting to coaching at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, FL, the headquarters of American High-Performance Junior and Professional tennis.
During his time at the National Campus, Rob was poached by a Platinum Club country club where he worked his way up to become the Director of Men’s Tennis, a role he was active in from 2018-2025.
Rob joins The Game with over 15 years of coaching experience at every level.
