Neil’s experience is extensive, having spent 14 years as Regional Coach in the Southern Region with Tennis New Zealand, building a strong, unified relationship with clubs and associations. He later took up a coaching position at Sutton Tennis Academy in the UK, heading the Juniors and Women’s programme, leading to a position as Tennis Director, coaching both Anna Hawkins (WTA 215) and Lily Miyazaki (WTA 155), and overseeing Development, Wheelchair Tennis, Adults and High Performance.

After returning to New Zealand Neil was appointed as the 2018 NZ Fed Cup Captain.  Neil has coached players to 12 national titles, Erin Routliffe (WTA #3) to a WTA Doubles Title, a US Open Grand Slam and the 2024 WTA Doubles Tour Finals Title and was selected coach of the 2024 NZ Olympic Team, and of the academy program at Saint Kentigern College.  Neil’s 40+ years of tennis playing and coaching experience, in New Zealand and overseas brings a professional tennis coaching experience to his clients across our venues.
